Programme Objectives:
- To enable at least 163 farm businesses to utilise ICT routinely and effectively in the farm business by February 2005
- To improve the ICT competence of 245 farm family members from these businesses by February 2005,
- To encourage interactions between 245 farm family members from different community backgrounds by February 2005, contributing to the development of reconciliation and mutual understanding within and between communities.
What is the Programme about?
The objective of this programme is to enable farmers to improve the use of the Information Communications Technology (ICT) in their farm businesses. COLLAGE Ltd are one of ten regional project promoters for this measure.
What does it involve?
- Free10 week ICT Training Course, leading to ECDL Start.
- Free 3 X 2 hour on-farm mentoring sessions.
- Up to 400* financial assistance for purchase of computer hardware/software.
* FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WILL ONLY BE PAID IN THE EVENT OF ALL PROGRAMME CRITERIA BEING MET IN FULL
Who can apply?
FARMERS AND MEMBERS OF THEIR FAMILIES, OVER THE AGE OF 19, WHO DERIVE ALL OR PART OF THEIR INCOME FROM THE FARM BUSINESS ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A PLACE ON THIS PROGRAMME.
